Role of Govind farmers to build the Shivajiraje English Medium School
The main intention to start this school was to facilitate education for rural children in English medium. Shivajiraje English Medium School proudly completed 25 years in the year 2000. There was a growing demand for quality education, a bigger campus with more facilities which were impossible owing to the lack of funds.
Govind Milk took the initiative as they knew the importance of education in lifting the socio-economical status of people and played a major role in gathering the funds through their farmers. They collectively gathered 4.2 million rupees for the new premises turning the dream into a reality.
An impressive school building was constructed in sprawling 5 acres due to the sincere efforts of these farmers and an initiative of Govind’s management. The school has strength of 1000 to 1200 students and is a part of The Phaltan Education Society.
