Govind Dairy Celebrates 29th Anniversary and Receives Indian Dairy Association Award

Chairman Shri Sanjeevraje Naik Nimbalkar Highlights Govind’s Commitment to Quality and Farmer Welfare

Phaltan: On the occasion of its 29th anniversary, Govind Dairy marked another milestone by receiving the prestigious award from the Indian Dairy Association (IDA). The award was presented at a ceremony in Hyderabad by Honorable Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, in recognition of Govind Dairy’s excellence in the dairy industry.
The celebration also honored the dedication and hard work of Govind’s extended family, which includes its farmers, employees, and partners.

Addressing the gathering, Govind Dairy’s Chairman, Shri Sanjeevraje Naik Nimbalkar, expressed his gratitude to the entire Govind Dairy family for their efforts. “I congratulate everyone on Govind Dairy’s 29th anniversary and for being recognized by the Indian Dairy Association. Govind Dairy has consistently aimed to make dairy farming more profitable and efficient for our farmers. We work towards enhancing cattle productivity, reducing the effort required from farmers, and ensuring the milk produced is of the highest quality to meet customer satisfaction,” he said.

Shri Nimbalkar emphasized Govind Dairy’s continuous focus on farmer welfare, particularly that of women dairy farmers, and its efforts to maintain high standards of quality across all operations. He praised the company’s initiatives to improve productivity and profitability, including the adoption of advanced technologies for milk processing and the implementation of programs to support dairy farmers.

In his address, Shri Nimbalkar highlighted several key programs launched by Govind Dairy to benefit farmers:

These initiatives have helped farmers increase milk production, improve cattle health, and reduce operational costs. The programs have also contributed to ensuring the supply of high-quality milk and dairy products to consumers.

Govind Dairy’s Director, Shri Chandrashekhar Jagtap, also addressed the gathering, stating, “Govind Dairy was established with the primary goal of supporting dairy farmers. From day one, we have worked to ensure the welfare of both farmers and consumers. As we step into our 30th year, we remain committed to producing high-quality dairy products while improving the livelihoods of our farmers.”

The event was graced by the presence of numerous dairy farmers and milk collection center operators who shared their experiences. Shri Sandeep Narale, a milk collection center operator, expressed his gratitude towards Govind Dairy, acknowledging the significant progress made by farmers in the region due to the support of the company. He also emphasized the high standards maintained at the collection centers.

In a special address, Smt. Swati Vijay Pawar, an exemplary woman dairy farmer, lauded Smt. Shivanjaliraje Naik Nimbalkar, Director of Govind Dairy, for her tireless efforts in overseeing daily operations and promoting the role of women in dairy farming. “Under the leadership of Shivanjaliraje, Govind Dairy has not only maintained the quality of its dairy products but has also taken meaningful steps to empower women dairy farmers like us,” she said.

Other speakers, including Smt. Asha Ghagade and Kajal Shaikh, shared how various Govind Dairy initiatives, such as the Green Govind Biogas Scheme and the Punjab Study Tour, have helped them enhance their skills and improve their productivity. Kajal Shaikh highlighted the transformative impact of modern dairy practices, stating, “Thanks to Shivanjaliraje’s guidance, the women in our village have transitioned from being dependent to becoming self-reliant through dairy farming.”

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shantaram Gaikwad, General Manager of Dairy Business Development, who commended the contributions of all stakeholders—farmers, employees, and management—towards making Govind Dairy an industry leader.

The ceremony was attended by Govind Dairy’s leadership team, including Smt. Shivanjaliraje Sanjeevraje Naik Nimbalkar, Shri Satyajitraje Naik Nimbalkar, Shri Chandrakant Ranware, and Shri Ganpatrao Dhumal, as well as a large number of women dairy farmers, milk collection center operators, employees, and well-wishers.
